Visiting the limited but relevant cultural heritage, including several churches containing valuable medieval artistic elements. Among all of them, it is specially remarkable “Ermita de Corona” where, according to legend, D. Pelayo was crowned “King of Asturias” during the Christian Reconquest of Spain.

Mountain bike, horse-riding, mountain trail running and jogging are frequently played by our visitors; while enjoying extraordinary views of the mountains and forests surrounding Valdeón. In the winter time, it is very common to find some people practicing snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice climbing and other snow sports.
“Valdeonissimo” suggests the CHEESE & WINE Route for your leisure time, tasting red wines from the Province of León accompanied by the local produced blue cheese and some other typical “tapas”.
